Interviews often have the same questions appearing time
after time and they aren't all easy ones to answer. Here's a few
tough ones with possible answers. If our answers don't suit have a
think about an answer more your style. Remember preparation is
key!
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. My time management skills are excellent and I'm organised,
efficient, and take pride in excelling at my work.
Q. What is your weakness?
A. I like to make sure that my work is perfect, so I tend to
perhaps spend a little too much time checking it. However, I've
come to a good balance by setting up a system to ensure everything
is done correctly the first time.
Q. Why were you fired from your last job?
A. After thinking about why I left, I realise I should have
done some things differently. That job was a learning experience
and I think I'm wiser now. I'd like the chance to prove that to
you.
Q. What motivates you?
A. I've always been motivated by the desire to do a good job
at whatever position I'm in. I want to excel and to be successful
in my job, both for my own personal satisfaction and for my
employer.
Q. How do you deal with pressure or
stress?
A. Stress is very important to me. With stress, I do the best
possible job. The appropriate way to deal with stress is to make
sure I have the correct balance between good stress and bad stress.
I need good stress to stay motivated and productive.
Q. What have you learned from your
mistakes?
A. I used to think that there was one best solution to a
problem, but I've learned that that kind of thinking limits the
possibility of great success.
